PARODIES OF FAMOUS PHOTOS IN HISTORY

'DUNKED IN PISS' - SERIES

Homage to Andres Serrano’s ‘Immersions’, also named ‘Piss Christ’, produced in 1987. The image that unintentionally sparked off an ethical debate on whether free democratic governments have a right to censor art. This picture unintentionally left a legacy for future artist of all kinds to push boundaries of acceptable art and test the limits of free speech and freedom itself.   Just imagine the disbelief the photographer must’ve felt after causing an nationwide, ethical debate unintentionally. How bewildering and confusing yet so appropriate - like a balding Jesus looking confused, blissfully happy in piss or wearing a snorkel. Father, Son and Holy what? Which one suits him best in this scenario?
